   Résumé
   Pour monter une affaire, Jerry Lundegaard, vendeur de voitures pas très doué, imagine de faire enlever sa femme par deux hommes de main et de récupérer une partie substantielle de la rançon payée par son riche beau-père. Mais le kidnapping dérape… Un polar attachant, qui se déroule dans un Minnesota enneigé, peuplé de pittoresques descendants de Scandinaves: taciturnes, lents et terriblement obstinés. Un remarquable personnage de femme commissaire incarné par Frances McDormand.
